“ Mavro Provato of Press Café is, without a doubt, one of our favorite restaurants. It’s made up of two small indoor spaces, with a few outdoor tables lining the sidewalk — giving it a casual, lively Athenian vibe. The moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with a shot of raki and small bruschette topped with grated tomato — a lovely touch of Cretan hospitality that sets the tone for the meal. The food never disappoints. In addition to the regular menu, there's also a daily specials menu, which means you can visit multiple times without having to eat the same dishes. Last time we were there, they offered an off-menu baklava with pistachio cream — it was absolutely exceptional. If you happen to see it available, don’t miss the chance to try it! ”
“ If it would be possible I would give them 10 stars. Incredible nice and quick service, great flavors. Everything was just perfect. We ate a chickpeas salat, lamb meatballs in tomato sauce, veal liver, grilled mushrooms and a baby spinach salad - all amazingly rich in flavors. Thank you guys, it was a lifetime experience ”
“ One of the best restaurants in my life, and trust me, I saw many on several continents. First impression: place is full, but they don't send you away. You get a drink on the house and they promise a table in 15 minutes. But you get a table in 7 minutes, with another drink on the house. Then the food... All of them taste differently perfect, than other similar dishes tried so far. The grilled mushrooms? Magnifico!! The veal liver? Such a peak of gastronomy! Salad dressings are so well mixed, hard to find anything off. The lamb meatballs? Mi kids did not like lamb before. They ate it all, and not because it didn't taste lamb. It was just extraordinary. And then, the surprise comes at the end. They bill so modestly, it could be a lesson to all "touristic" one-shot places, to restaurants which don't care if you ever come back due to their sky-high prices. Here, we were already discussing what we will try tomorrow. I have recommended the place to my friends in Athens :) ”
“ Awesome food. Great value for price! The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. The staff was really nice and attentive to us. The proportion of the courses are very generous. As an alternative, I definitely recommend trying lots of small plates instead ”
“ Nice local shop with twisted Greek flavors. You need to make a reservation most of the time. The staff are very friendly. The food is delicious and of good quality. We tried different dishes as you can see in the pictures. The fried liver is an old time classic for this shop. They also bring Raki and some small bites as a welcoming drink. Before I forget, they serve hot bread as well! ”
“ The food is extraordinary. Eirini the waitress is amazing. The moussaka is out of this world. This is hands down a restaurant you should not miss while in corfu ”
“ Everything about this restaurant is great! We saved it for our last place to eat before leaving Greece, and we were glad we did. The service was top notch! We just wished we could have been hungrier so we could have tried more dishes. The lamb sausage and eggplant spread were my favorites, but I'm sure everything on the menu is excellent. ”
“ Visiting “Mavro Provato” while in Greece should be a must!!! It was my favourite restaurant I have been in Greece! Staff were extremely kind but also knowledgeable! They knew the menu and were able to provide suggestions to each individual. The food? 10 out of 10! Everything tasted amazing; every dish had so much flavour! Unfortunately we were in a hurry and didn’t try the dessert but I am confident that would have tasted amazing too! Thank you Mavro Provato Team, we will definitely be back! ”
